UNU-ONY hosted Dr. Joseph E. Stigliz, Professor at Columbia University and Nobel Laureate in Economics in 2001, to speak on the current financial crisis and to analyze its impact on the future of global development. This lecture was part of UNU-ONY's Emerging Thinking on Global Issues Lecture Series.



What is UNU?

The United Nations University, is headquarted in Tokyo, Japan. It is the think tank of the United Nations and a global organization with institues around the world. It's mission is to contribute, through research and capacity building, to efforts to resolve the pressing global problems that are the concern of the United Nations, its Peoples and Member States
