The United Nations University (UNU) is organizing a Midday Forum event entitled: Evaluating the Added Value of UN Work on the Ground ".  The programme will be composed of two parts; the first part will present the topic of evaluations programs carried out within UN agencies, and the second part will develop issues in general discussion session.

 

During the forum, Juha Uitto, Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Adviser at UNDP’s Global Environmental Facility in New York, will describe how UNDP uses evaluation for accountability and learning, especially at the country level.  He will also address questions around attribution/contribution, the results chain, and the theory of change.  Lucien R. Back from the UN Evaluations Group (UNEG), Coordinator of the evaluation of the Delivering as One pilots, contribute to the discussion based on his experience.
