Annual Music for AIDS Awareness Jazz Concert at UNU Headquarters

On 1 December 2008 the Annual Music for AIDS Awareness Jazz Concert took place at UNU Headquarters. Its aim was to help UNU to observe World AIDS Day. The concert was given by Teruo Nakamura and his Rising Sun Band from New York. Dr. Emile Rwamasirabo, Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda, Dr. Shigemasa Sawada, Nihon University, and Kazushige Taniguchi, the World Bank's Special Representative for Japan held their presentations and made the remarks as well.
Annual concerts in Japan are organized by Teruo Nakamura and the Red Shoes Foundation for over a decade in order to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS.
This was the second time a concert was held at UNU.
