In a deal signed last year by the UNU Rector Konrad Osterwalder, these documentaries will also be broadcast on Canal 22, a public TV channel in Mexico with a potential audience 36 million people in 427 cities. The documentaries will be shown four times in 2009.
In another major agreement, the UNU is now contributing video content to the United Nations Television (UNTV) as part of the their series 21st Century. This is a monthly 26-minute news magazine that is currently broadcast by fifty international broadcasters including BBC World, CNN and RTVE. To date, the UNU has contributed a 6 minute shortened version of The Wisdom Years documentary that was co-produced with the World Health Organization.
